I disagree strongly with policies that prohibit owners of a concealed handgun permit, from carrying it with them onto campuses and other school grounds. Especially considering this restriction isn't present at many other public areas: banks, movie theaters, grocery stores, shopping malls, office buildings, restaurants, churches, etc, etc.
This week (April 21-25, 2008) Students for Concealed Carry on Campus (SCCC) is hosting an empty holster protest, in which students nationwide will wear empty holsters to class and school events.

Devious Comments
It's great that you're raising awareness for this. It's too bad there are so many students out there who don't value their freedom enough to want it protected from their own government.
Maybe if law-abiding teachers and students were allowed to carry we wouldn't have all these campus massacres. Somebody would surely take those jackasses out before they could kill a bunch of people.
Gun-control proponents make me sick.
